My son is growing

I'm now at my brother-in-laws house and I can't sleep. It's now 6:47 am. I will tell you why I am up so early. But I have to give you a good blog as I missed last weeks.  As I said I'm now at my brother-in-laws house with my family, and its awesome. My son is with his uncle Ryan (my wife's brother), his Nana (my wife's mother)  and is 2 cousins (my wife's nieces Olivia and Alexandra). Having family around is awesome.
I am proud to say that my sons potty training is going well. I'm also proud to report that it was a 5 hour drive to Ryan's house and we didn't stop once. Kenny didn't potty until we got to Ryan's. That's over 5 hours of holding his potty and no accidents. Awesome. The funny thing is he is doing adult size pops on the potty. Its amazing how big some of that stuff is that comes out of my kid. Last Thursday Kenneth's school had a mac and cheese party. It was told to us that Kenny had a hearty set of helpings. I have been taking a class and its every Monday and Thursday nights. It seems that Kenny got a lot of potty time practice that night was at class it seems.

I have already told you I'm at my brother-in-laws house. When we stay here we are in a finished basement. It's pretty awesome down there. We have an Amish heart with the fake looking fire going inside. And man does that thing heat up that basement. it's like having project heat again. lol lol lol lol
When we are down there we setup an air mattress for Kenny, and put his bed next to ours. OH my wife and I sleep in a queen size bed down there. We brought his fleece sleeping bag, pj's, and blanket. He was set to be warm. Our bed time routine for Kenny goes like this. If it's bath night then At 7:30 I start his bath. He is washed and out by 7:45 or so. Then he has to go pee pee and, or pop on the potty. Wash his hands and brush his teeth. He is then put in his PJ's. He is given some milk and read 1 or 2 sometimes 4 bedtime stories. Then he lays down, we kiss him, and tell him we love him. Then we turn out the light and close his door. Well here at Ryan's all that was done but no bath tonight. Well Kenny woke up at 3:37 this morning. Not knowing what time it was I got up with hm and took him to the potty. Before I took him to the potty I looked at the VCR clock and saw it was 3:37. In my head i said, kid are you crazy. But I told ok kenny we have to go pee pee on the potty then go back to sleep as it is way to early to get up. So we go to the potty and then go back do the basement. My wife is still sleep mind you. Kenny would lye down. Finally I got him to lie down next to me. He crawled in my arms and tried to sleep. It was awesome. It took him a bit to settle down and try to sleep. After a bit he said daddy I need to go to my bed and sleep. And he crawled into his bed and slowly went to sleep. He is now sleeping soundly and probably will sleep until 8am. While I woke up at 6:30am to go to the potty and have been up ever since. So I decided to do my blog post.
My son and wife Jen, make it all worth it. My wife Jen has given me so much. If I could I would give her, her weight in diamonds and all the massages she could stand. And Kenny is just a pure source of joy. I am truely blessed.

Bedtime

As I haven't been able to keep my promise of a post every Sunday, I feel another post is warranted. Jen and I have been so lucky. Kenny has been sleeping through the night since he was like 3 or 4 months old. Now he is 2 and a half and it seems our luck his running out. Kenny is doing everything he can to annoy me. And I have to say he does it quite well. The bed time routine is this. Every other night I give him a bath. Then we have him brush his teeth and wash his hands. Actually we have him brush his teeth and wash his hands before his bath. After the bath I rap him a towel and carry him to his room. I then get him into his pajamas and his over night diaper. We then give him so mike and read him a story or 2. Once the story his over i kiss and hug him. Tell him good night. I tuck him in and he goes to bed. Well that hasn't been the case lately. Last week Jen had to go out and i put Kenny to bed. He started calling me daddy daddy. I pee peed. Well I changed his diaper. The put him back to bed. 1 min later I hear daddy. So I ignore it. Well this went on and on. I yelled, I threatened to take his lighting McQueen race car away. But he fought me. We yelled at each other and he cried. My trick is to let him cry for a small bit. Then give him a hug and speak softly and say Kenny man I love you, and I need you to go to sleep. Finally he laid down I covered him told him I loved him again and to have sweet dreams. He asked if I would leave the door open. I told him I would leave the door slightly open. He said ok, then told me he loved me and went to sleep. Man that was a rough night. More for me then him. And I know there will be more to come. Hell to be honest he did some of that tonight. Man I'm tired. But do love that crazy kid of mine.

My son and his potty training

Do you remember in one of my post how I said I could swear I can see a new awareness with him about every few months or so. Well I have seen a new awareness. it seems that when my son has to poop he finds a corner to hide in to do his business. Jen and I instructed Kenny that if he has to go potty what is he to do. And he will say tell mom, daddy grandma Cheryl or Nana(Which is Jens mom). He is so amazing. He told me today as I need a napkin. I had given him milk and cookies with a napkin and he says I need one too. How awesome is that. He is 2 and a half.

Yesterday he had his 36 month well visit to the doctor. Now Jen and I love this doctor and clinic. It was called Kids First. Now it part of children's hospital. I was told by Jen (as I was at work and unable to attend) that Kenny gave his doctor a hard time. But when he did start talking he amazed the doctor. She said his vocabulary was very good. i credit his daycare school my wife and myself. All we do his talk and read to Kenny. He is awesome.
  

My Son Today at Sesame

My wife and I took Kenneth to Sesame place today. We mean the parents of one of Kenneth's schoolmates, who happens to be a little girl by the name of Gabby. Gabby's parents names are Nicole and Jim. Kenny was not listening at all today. When he doesn't listen, we ask him to put on his listening ears. When he doesn't listen I put him in his stroller and strap him in, for about 5 mins maybe more. He doesn't like that at all. As he is strapped in I speak to him and tell him how he is not listening. He then starts to calm down and promises to listen.I ask him to put on his listening hears and he does so. And an awesome day is on it's way.
We played in what I call the romper pit. Is a big space that the kids can use cloth blocks to make towers with as well as jump on. I chased my kid all round that pit. I had him so excited Jennifer, my wife scolded me. I love seeing my son happy and crazy. He is a sensitive but tough kid. I love that. On the drive back Kenneth fell asleep, man he was knocked out. I carried him in the house and I fed him dinner. Jennifer kept him company and I made his bath. I always bathe him. I wash his hair and I let him play in the bathe. He was a handsome funny little guy. All cleaned up. I love my son and my wife. Today was a good day.

I'm so excited to do this blog I have decided to do a preview of what I want to talk about, so I'm going to talk about the adventures of  potty training my son. I'm so exited to share my adventure as a father.

My sons day at the beach

My inlaws and my family have rented this awesome house about a block from the beach in Stone Harbor. Its pretty awesome. We got here on a saturday. We were at yhe beach for 6 hours. That day kenny would only go ankle deep. The second day he was knee deep in the water.

My boy is an on from the time he gets up until he goes to.sleep

My man kenny who we now call kenny man is on all the time. Wow if i was anything like this kid i dont know how my mom did it, and she had me and my bro.
So kenny,s nana ( his grandmother from his moms side) bought him a water table. I set it up yesterday. He has played with it for 4 hrs today. Wow. That kid makes me wanna be a kid again. I love my son so. He is awesome.

What my Son has been up too

Hi all. I am sorry I haven't been so good at keeping this blog up. But I am back and I want to make you all a promise. I will try and keep it going at least once a week if not more.

Kenneth is now 2 years old. And boy is that little kid a handful. But he is also the coolest kid. His new thing is to watch the same videos over and over again. I have seen Toy Story, Shrek and Nemo about a dozen times a day. We have seen Shrek Kenneth started singing the opening song. In the car he sings and says things from the videos he watches. Its the funniest thing. But the boy has hit his terrible 2's. He is so not listening to me. But I do have to admit, I am a bit of a cream puff. He's my son. What can I say.
I can't wait for Kenneth to be able to play xbox360 with me. We will be a father son killing team. Wow I can't even imagine not having him. I love JenB but Kenneth is the man. I love you both so much. Wow I have a family of my own. I'm grown. I made it. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
